The public is invited to attend an in-person information meeting about the project. There is not a formal presentation. People may arrive at any time to learn, ask questions and sign up for updates.
People unable to attend the in-person event will be able to review information and displays from the meeting afterward on the project website and provide comments on the plans. MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at [email protected] or call 651-366-4720.
I-90 is an important national east-west transportation route that connects many population centers in the U.S. in the Austin area. I-90 was built in the 1950s and the structures are at the end of their useful design life.
There are six sites along I-90 in Austin that have bridges that are scheduled to be replaced or repaired in 2024 to 2026. A bridge at 11th Dr. NE was replaced in 2017 and a bridge at 28th St. NE was replaced in 2021.
Construction in 2024 will begin mid-April and go through the fall.
