We open the Austin Symphony Orchestra season with a family concert inspired by stories about animals and nature that will capture the imagination of children and adults alike. The highlight is a musical depiction of the book On the Day You Were Born, featuring Lisa Deyo as narrator. Come early to see live animals from the Hormel Nature Center and participate in carnival games and family activities.
All concert attendees are invited and encouraged to attend the free pre-concert family carnival at 1:00. Concert begins at 2:00 in AHS Knowlton Auditorium.
Pre-sale concert tickets are available on our website, at Coffee House on Main, and at Austin HyVee. Tickets may also be purchased in the lobby before the concert. Children and college students attend free.
