The 2025 Harris Music Contest. A contest for young musicians. Youth ages 6-18 living or studying in the MN counties of Mower, Freeborn, or Steele and the Iowa counties of Worth and Mitchell are invited to participate. Impartial judges will offer feedback to help the musician improve and expand their musical talent. Cash prizes will be awarded.

This Contest honors the memory and legacy of MarySue Hormel Harris, who supports the Hormel Historic Home to offer community programming through their Music & Education Missions. MarySue is the granddaughter of Ben F. Hormel who was George’s youngest brother.
