Little Learners

Autism Friendly Austin (part of the Hormel Historic Home) and LIFE Mower County are partnering to provide Music Therapy classes for Little Learners at MacPhail Center for Music.  This class is a “Caregiver & Me” or “Parent & Me” experience in a group setting for PreK Youth who have different abilities.  Class instructor is a certified music therapist.  Questions?  Contact our Community Autism Resource Specialist, Beth, at [email protected] or 507-433-4243.

**Music therapy is used to help individuals with social interaction, verbal communication, initiating behavior, and reducing anxiety. The benefits of music therapy may include improved communication, social skills, behavior, sensory issues, self-reliance, and parent-child relationships.
