The Mower County Historical Society will host its next Lunchbox History
event on Thursday August 22, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the Pioneer Building with MCHS Curator, Jaimie
Timm, as she shares several vintage dresses from the MCHS Collection.
MCHS recently opened a new exhibit in the Christ Episcopal Church featuring artifacts associated with
churches. Several vintage baptismal gowns, confirmation dresses, and wedding dresses are the highlight
of the display. “It really is exciting to display more dresses inside the church.” says Jaimie Timm, MCHS
Curator. “Most of the wedding dresses we are highlighting have been donated within the last few years,
so they have never been seen by our visitors.”
Doors will open at 11:30 for this FREE Event. We encourage everyone to “bring your lunch AND bring a
friend” to learn about history in a relaxing environment during the middle of the day.
