The annual Austin More ThanPink 5k Fun Run will be held Thursday, August 3, at Todd Park. The run kicksoff at 6:00 PM from the large pavilion.
More Than Pink is a programdesigned for girls who have completed third through sixth grade to empowerthemselves and each other. This 6-week summer program innovatively weavestraining for a 5K run with lessons that empower girls to celebrate theirbodies, honor their voices, and embrace their gifts. More than Pinksparticipants learn through Topic Talk lessons (led by strong female role modelsfrom the Austin community) and group time on topics including self-worth, bodyimage, nutrition, puberty, peer pressure and more.
