Join Jacob Crosby as he unwraps the Music and Composers for the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s first concert of the 2024-2025 Season! Our first concert is titled “Animalia II,” and features musical selections based on animals. Some pieces feature ideas about animals, some feature sound effects. Some are based on stories about animals (or mythological creatures). Jacob will be discussing the music of John Williams (and music from Jaws), Mark Woeste (Dance Before the Elephant King), Rosano Galente (Genesis), and Igor Stravinsky (the Firebird), among others.
